Baptisms are held on the 4th Sunday of the month at 12:30 or during a weekend Mass by arrangement.  

Please call Beth Scorup about parent preparation classes.  She can be reached at 302-633-4900.  

Please note that to have your child baptized in our parish you must attend the Baptism preparation classes, be registered in our parish, or have the pastor of your parish submit a written permission to have the child baptized in our parish.  It is also required that at least 1 of the Godparents is a practicing Catholic and has received the sacrament of Confirmation.  The required age of the Catholic Godparent is at least 16 yrs. of age.

Parents must attend two classes in preparation for baptism of their child. 

The following resource links will give you some insight into the "Role of parents as the first teachers of the child" and "The role of Godparents" , "Choosing a Christian name for your child" and other topics pertaining to baptism in particular.  Reading this now will give you a better appreciation of the importance of properly preparing for the Sacrament of Baptism for your child.  It will also be beneficial to those preparing for the baptism of subsequent children.  There are many other resource materials available but these have been chosen because of they provide you with the fundamental Church's teachings relative to being a parent and Baptism.
