First Reconciliation & First Eucharist
First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are celebrated after a student has attended either religious education classes or parochial school for two consecutive years.  For many students, this means that the sacrament is celebrated in the second grade.  Whatever grade your child is in, we welcome you to our parish and sacramental preparation program.

With the understanding that "the Christian home is the place where children receive the first proclamation of the faith"  (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1666), parents play an essential role in the preparation of their children for the sacrament of Reconciliation.  We help you in this important task with parent enrichment meetings and family activities.
An important note:
All sacraments take place at the parish to which the family belongs.  If your child is attending another Catholic school but you are still a member of St. Catherine of Siena parish, your child will make his or her First Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation here with your parish family at St. Catherine’s.  Preparation (parent meetings, retreats, etc.) for these sacraments will take place at St. Catherine’s. Please click on the side menu to see the schedules for the Sacramental Activities, one schedule is for those who attend the Wednesday evening and Whole Family programs and one is for those who attend the Sunday bilingual program.
